This is a totally free, complete, how to do it guide on Digital Photography. Welcome to my web site which is designed to help the digital photographer user to demystify some of the myths and confusion associated with Digital Photography and to provide information, tips and wrinkles on getting the very best from your camera and images.

I am a photographer and author who has largely moved over to digital photography and I get a lot of queries from people who are really confused about which type of digital camera or type of memory card would be best for them as well as questions on many other topics to do with digital imaging. I have collected together the most frequently asked questions in book form which I hope will enable you to enjoy your digital photography more. The topics include:

  • Using the camera, transferring images, memory cards

  • The main differences between digital and film photography

  • Resolution answers

  • An explanation of the different file formats: Jpegs, Tiffs &Gifs

  • Image storage capacities for popular photo memory cards

  • How to determine the right ISO settings to use

  • Editing, improving, manipulating and organising your images

  • Scanning your old film negatives and slides to the computer or CD/ DVD

  • Getting your images on the internet

  • Links to free web hosting, editing programs and other useful information

I hope there will be something interesting here for all digital photography enthusiasts whether they are beginners or more advanced users. There are over 60 pages packed full of free useful information so click on the links on the left to get started.
